Disaster Management
The implementation of the Disaster Risk Management Programme in Davanagere District is in an organized and systematic manner opened with the Government of India (GoI) starting the Urban Earthquake Vulnerability Project (UEVRP) in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, India (UNDP, India). From then onwards, a lot of awareness generation and training and capacity building programmes have been conducted for Government Agencies and other Disaster Risk Management Stakeholders in the District.
